“If my mind can conceive it, my heart can believe it, I can achieve it.” Over 20 years ago a crown and title gave me a voice, so I learned how to use it and people listened. Because of this, it was important that what I had to say motivated others to make a difference and could possibly save a life. I chose to speak on heart disease, the #1 killer of women in this country. What a wonderful journey this has been. As a registered nurse, I understand the impact that heart disease has on this country, so my goal has been to educate and bring awareness, from speaking at local and state events to organizing and modeling in Red Dress fashion shows. I have also been working diligently with lawmakers to pass the HEART for Women Act. My most recent endeavor has been as a consultant to corporations across the
With the love and support of my husband Scotty and children Jordan and Tyler, I will continue to use my “crown as a microphone” as Mrs. Kentucky International to advocate HEART for Women, adhering to the teachings and concepts of the American Heart Association.
